Basic and Advanced Bronchoscopy Skills With a Focus on Endobronchial Ultrasound

This session is an excellent opportunity for any health-care professional interested in basic and advanced diagnostic bronchoscopy. Participants can assess their current skills and learn new skills in a stress-free environment supervised by faculty members with expertise in bronchoscopy. A significant portion of the course will be dedicated to learning endobronchial ultrasound and its application in real-time guidance of transbronchial needle aspiration.
Each participant will have the opportunity to:
- Assess and enhance basic bronchoscopy skills.
- Perform flexible bronchoscopy on a simulator with a wide range of tasks.
- Practice the skills of transbronchial needle aspiration (TBNA) using a separate airway model station.
- Discuss bronchoscopy complications and practice the placement of endobronchial blockers on an airway model.
- Learn about bronchoscopy in the difficult patient and practice intubation over the bronchoscope on an airway model.
- Learn about endobronchial ultrasound and practice its use in real-time guidance of TBNA on a simulator and airway model.
