NetWorks
NetWorks are the lifeblood of the American College of Chest Physicians
(ACCP). They are interdisciplinary, focused-interest groups providing
the opportunity for your personal and professional alliance with
the ACCP. NetWorks provide a portal for members to participate
with other members or groups who share similar expertise and concerns
relative to clinical practice and/or community health issues. Developed
as an evolutionary fruition of the expanding ACCP Sections, NetWorks
provide an avenue for action on local, national, and global levels,
a pathway to raise issues, and a process for acquiring new skills
while joining other professionals who have diverse perspectives
and expertise.
NetWorks are dynamic structures for information development, exchange,
and dissemination. There are two categories of Networks: clinical
networks and community networks. Clinical NetWorks are interdisciplinary
groups of members with common goals of promoting prevention and
treatment of specific disorders of the chest and critical illness.
Community NetWorks are interdisciplinary groups with common interests
in unique patient-based and/or member-based issues. You can participate
in one or many NetWorks, depending on your needs, interests, and
availability.
